Fundraising for charity is a great way to build team skills, and positions your company as a socially responsible and forward thinking place to work.

Beat the nine to five blues by getting involved with raising vital funds and awareness for Vitalise. There are all sorts of ways you can help.

Ideas to try

• Hold a quiz night or an office fun day
• Organise a raffle or tombola at the next office party
• Try a team sponsored event like the London Triathlon or the 3 Peaks Challenge
• How about an inter-team challenge such as five a side football or rounders

For the more adventurous, why not try and get a group together to take part in one of our Overseas Challenges or Adrenaline Rush Events?

Community fundraising

If you work near to Bodmin, Chigwell, Nottingham, Southampton or Southport you can fundraise directly for your local Vitalise Centre. It's a great chance to give something back to the community and really see the difference your efforts make to the lives of disabled people and carers.

Charity quiz

International Project Finance Association, Willis Construction Risks and Zurich chose Vitalise as the UK national charity to benefit from their annual Charity Quiz. The quiz took place on Thursday 6 March 2008 at the offices of Willis in the heart of the City of London.

James Stewart of PUK opened the evening and acted as the auctioneer whilst Rob Tucker of Zurich was the Quiz Master. A capacity crowd of 180 IPFA members raised a massive £12,500 to be shared between Vitalise and Build a School.

GalaCoral

The IT department of GalaCoral, based in Barking, held a fundraising evening at the Coral Romford Greyhound Stadium on Friday 20 June. Staff held a raffle to raise money for a forthcoming Volunteer Challenge Day at Vitalise Jubilee Lodge in July and raised £450.

Three races were sponsored by GalaCoral in the name of Vitalise Jubilee Lodge and the winning dogs were presented their trophies by volunteers from the Centre.

A team of employees from GalaCoral will be taking part in the Challenge Day on Friday 18 July. They will be hard at work in the grounds, erecting an accessible greenhouse and creating new landscaping by the pond. It is hoped that as a result Vitalise Jubilee Lodge will be able to add horticulture to their list of theme weeks for guests.
