Leave a Legacy

smiling older womanLegacy gifts bring in a substantial and vital part of our income and allow us to plan ahead in the knowledge that funds will be available to turn our vision into reality.

Your generous act of kindness now will improve the lives of people with a disability for years to come.

A legacy gift to Vitalise has no impact on your income or assets in your lifetime, and may reduce tax payable on the value of your estate.

Your legacy could help us in the following ways:

  • £1,000 would help buy essential medical supplies
  • £2,300 can buy an adjustable bed and electronic hoist with tracking to increase guest’s comfort, dignity and independence
  • £10,000 would train 150 volunteers who together would provide 6,000 hours of support and companionship to our guests
  • £25,000 pays for one week’s worth of specialist nursing care for five guests
  • £50,000 would help fund 2 nursing staff to provide 24-hour care
  • £120,000 could fund a new coach, enabling our guests to enjoy trips and excursions. Each Vitalise coach covers 17,000 miles and around 480 trips per year.

Could you help Vitalise now?

As you can see, legacies are very important to Vitalise. If you are considering leaving a legacy gift to Vitalise, and you are a UK tax payer, you can substantially increase the value of your gift, and benefit our work even more, by making all or part of your gift now.

No tax can be reclaimed on a legacy received from an estate, but if you are paying UK tax, a Gift Aid Declaration enables Vitalise to reclaim tax that you have already paid and so increases the value of your gift by 28p in every pound. Read more about Gift Aid here. So if you are in a position to make a gift now please consider doing so. Thank you.
