The Lappish resort of Ylläs lies in the midst of unspoilt scenery in the Arctic wilderness. For cross country skiers the extensive track network (330kms) is well served by shelters, huts and wilderness cafés and should appeal to both intermediate and advanced skiers.

By this time of year days are getting longer, temperatures higher and snow conditions are often at their best. Attractions off the slopes include husky, reindeer or snowmobile safaris deep into pristine forests or even a visit to Santa Claus. The clear skies make this an ideal location to witness the magical Northern Lights.
