The Lappish resort of Ylläs lies in the midst of unspoilt scenery in the Arctic wilderness. This area is renowned as Finland’s best ski area with uncrowded slopes and snow-sure conditions through until May. With 23 ski lifts, 35 ski runs and a number of ski school available this is a great destination for beginner or improving downhill skiers.
By this time of year the days are getting longer, temperatures higher and snow conditions are often at their best.
Attractions off the slopes include husky, reindeer or snowmobile safaris deep into pristine forests or even a visit to Santa Claus. The clear skies make this an ideal location to witness the magical Northern Lights.
