The Jubilee Sailing Trust is a registered charity and owns two tall ships, Lord Nelson and Tenacious, which enable able-bodied and physically disabled people to sail together on as near equal terms as possible.

On each voyage you sail as the ‘voyage crew’ and get involved in all the activities needed to sail a tall ship. These include sail handling and setting, being part of a watch, helming (there is a speaking compass for visually impaired crew), cooking and cleaning the ship.

On board ship, visually impaired people will be ‘buddied’ with a sighted crew member so that help and assistance is available when needed.

The Jubilee Sailing Trust may also be able to offer financial assistance to those visually impaired holidaymakers who may not otherwise be able to participate, thanks to their generous supporters.

Voyages run throughout the year. In summer the ships sail from different ports around the UK and Europe and in the winter sail in the Caribbean and Canaries, so there is sure to be a voyage to suit you.

Guide dog information

Due to the nature of the activities included you are asked not to bring your guide dog on this holiday.
