We travel to the small country of Andorra situated high up in the Pyrenees. Although one of the smallest countries in Europe, Andorra boasts a thriving tourist trade and offers spectacular walks. We will be based in the town of Soldeu which is also a popular ski destination during the winter months.
During the spring and summer, Soldeu is transformed into a sea of lush green fields set against the imposing landscape of the Pyrenees, where we will be able to discover the untouched natural beauty of the area. There will be a number of optional excursions available to enhance our stay such as the Little Yellow Train which is a mountain railway snaking through the French Pyrenees, a day trip to the French towns of Ax and Labouiche or experience ‘A Taste of Andorra’ where we can learn about the vast history and industry of Andorra.
We will be staying at the Himàlaia Hotel in the centre of Soldeu, which offers a relaxed, comfortable environment and a range of leisure facilities including Jacuzzi and Turkish bath. This is the perfect place to unwind after a day of walking.
