Choir performance in a cathedralJoin us for Europe’s oldest annual choral festival. This is a terrific opportunity to experience vocal and orchestral music at its exhilarating and uplifting best, in a quintessentially English setting.

The Gloucester Three Choirs Festival is a firm fixture in the British music calendar and a must-visit for lovers of great choral works the world over. We’ll be enjoying three gala events inside Gloucester’s magnificent Cathedral over the weekend: the Opening Service and performances of Elgar’s The Kingdom and Mahler’s Symphony No 2. We will also attend a performance by the Corelli Ensemble with Evelyn Tubb at St Mary de Lode and have the option to attend the Festival Eucharist and Choral Evensong in the Cathedral.

Your free time can be spent exploring the city’s rich history including the Waterways Museum, the Royal Gloucestershire Regimental Museum and the atmospheric Victorian Docklands. Our accommodation for this inspirational weekend will be the grade two listed Edward Hotel in Gloucester, perfectly situated for you to attend the Three Choirs Festival and explore this city’s rich heritage.
