Jewel of the Mediterranean and mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, Cyprus is the perfect destination for us to renew our acquaintance with Greek mythology – and get some winter sunshine!
We’ll be staying at the four-star Louis Imperial Beach Hotel in Paphos on the southeast coast of the island, the perfect location to enjoy day-long sunshine. There are glorious sandy beaches and the town centre, with its traditional bars and tavernas, is just a short walk away.
There is plenty to do in and around the hotel. Relax in the sauna or Jacuzzi, take a stroll round the extensive gardens shaded by palm trees or pop into town to discover some of the area’s culture and heritage. You can explore ancient sites such as the Paphos Fort, Aphrodite’s Baths and the Tombs of the Kings, each with their own fascinating myths and legends.
In the evening there’s nothing better than making the most the local nightlife in the town’s tavernas and bars, enjoying the typical Cypriot cuisine and hospitality.
