The Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh on Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula offers sandy beaches, warm seas and sun all year round - the perfect destination to enjoy Christmas on the beach.

We’ll be staying close to the beachfront at Tiran Island Hotel, where you can relax in the sun and take a leisurely dip in the sea or the pool. As well as the hotel’s many leisure facilities, there will be an assortment of water sports available to try plus snorkelling, desert safaris and horse and camel rides through the sand dunes.

If you fancy an excursion there are plenty of options within easy reach of the hotel. You can travel down to Ras Mohammed at the tip of the Sinai Peninsula, with its beautiful shoreline and coral reef. Mount Sinai and St Catherine’s Monastery are a day trip through the desert away, as is Cairo, where you can marvel at the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx.

This seven night break in Egypt is the perfect remedy for those long winter nights and an opportunity to soak up some well-deserved winter sun over the festive period.
