How Vitalise Homeshare Works
The Homeshare service is unique, simple and cost effective. We work to match people who need some practical help in the home with people who can provide this, in return for accommodation.
If you are the person looking for support at home we call you the householder.
If you are the person looking for accommodation we call you the homesharer.
The Homeshare team matches householders with appropriate homesharers. We coordinate the matching process and always remain in close and regular contact to ensure things run smoothly and safely.
Safety and security
Your security and safety is very important to us. To ensure the safety of all concerned we carry out rigorous selection and vetting procedures. We personally introduce the homesharer to the householder and monitor the arrangement regularly to make sure you are both happy with the arrangement.
We make sure the homesharer is adequately supported and we also keep in touch with the householder’s family if they are involved. We take care of all matching arrangements including Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks.
Ongoing support
Homeshare support workers provide intensive support to the householder and homesharer for the duration of the match. We monitor how things are going and help to clarify and resolve any difficulties or misunderstandings. If necessary we can find an alternative homesharer for the householder or another placement for the homesharer.
