Vitalise runs one of the largest and most diverse volunteer programmes in the UK. Over 6,000 people volunteer their time with us every year.
Urgent vacancies
We urgently need volunteers this August for group activity holidays in Cornwall and Derby. If you could join our fun, friendly team and help give a group of under 18s with disabilities the holiday of a lifetime then we’d love to hear from you. Find out more about this opportunity.
Who can volunteer?

Anyone and everyone can volunteer! There is no upper age limit. Vitalise actively welcomes people from all backgrounds and countries. Groups are very welcome – see our Group and Team Volunteering section.
Vitalise volunteers include students from all over the world, working people, retired people, teenagers and older persons. People who are unemployed or asylum seekers can volunteer without losing their benefits.
You don’t need to have previous experience. We will provide you with the appropriate induction, training and support to carry out your role whether you are volunteering in a Centre, an office or a shop, and whether you can give a few hours, a whole week, or longer.
Under 18s
Unfortunately we are only able to offer limited opportunities at our Centres for volunteers aged under 18. We recommend that you contact us for more information.
Other ways to give your time
Don’t forget that you can also volunteer your time by becoming a sighted guide (and you get a subsidised holiday!), by taking part in a fundraising event or becoming a Vitalise Homesharer.
Chat to the Volunteering team at the following exhibitions in 2008
