Egremont have adopted Vitalise as their charity of the year since 2008
Sue Grist and Sean Connolly, Egremont Directors say
“We are delighted to be partnering with Vitalise. Through the partnership, the Egremont team plan to make a difference by raising money through events and sporting occasions, increasing awareness of this great charity and using our management techniques, toolkits and methodologies to help Vitalise ensure it is the best it can be.”
Fundraising and activities
Egremont's goal in working with Vitalise is to make a difference through:
- Volunteer work
- Pro-bono projects where our skills can make a real impact
- Fundraising through participation in major sporting events i.e. marathons
- Financial contributions
Hannah Crossley, Leila Francis Coleman and Lucy Arthur from Egremont are taking on an epic 294 km walk along the length of the River Thames for Vitalise. They are tackling the challenge in several weekend-long stages, starting at the Thames Barrier in February 2012 and progressing upstream to the finish at Lechlade in July. The girls are already well on course to reach their £1,250 fundraising target and still going strong.

Run to the Beat
Elliott, a consultant at Egremont, competed in the 2010 ‘Run to the Beat’ half marathon raising money for Vitalise. He did us proud making it round the course in 1.46:27 in his fetching Vitalise pink vest!
Alex Graham, Rachel Wood and Andy Morris ran in the Paris Marathon and raised a fantastic £1,753.97.
“It's a great cause; anybody who has cared for a disabled person will know just how welcome breaks for the carer and the cared for are. Knowing that we were raising a good amount for a great cause certainly made the pain more bearable.”
