Vitalise Churchtown Resource Centre provides a person-centred service for adults with physical and/or learning disabilities in Cornwall.A man painting

The Centre supports and encourages people with physical or learning disabilities to develop and maintain independent living skills designed to advance personal growth.

We offer a wide range of experience-led learning and social activities. Our trained staff work with service users to build personalised development plans.
 

Facilities and activities

Two people feeding a goatThe Resource Centre is set in a thriving village community in Lanlivery near Bodmin.

The fully accessible Centre combines a range of indoor and outdoor facilities. Accessible minibuses provide transport to enable service users to participate in the community.

All service users are encouraged to develop key skills to underpin and contribute to life in the wider community.

All sessions have a clear purpose and aims that are developed in line with service users’ personal objectives. Work in the market garden enables a team to sell their produce at a local farmers market and activities in the kitchen produce tasty, healthy meals from shop to plate.

Following an initial assessment of needs, individual plans are developed. Ongoing assessment and consultation ensures that the service is always focused on agreed outcomes.

Vitalise Churchtown Resource Centre works closely with Cornwall Council Department of Adult Care and Support and other external agencies to continuously innovate the service.

We have 35 places available per day and offer both private places and referrals.

Opening hours

Vitalise Churchtown Resource Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am – 4.00pm. We are closed on bank holidays.
