Volunteer at a Vitalise Centre

Volunteer alert

We need more residential volunteers throughout 2010. Please see below for details of particular weeks.

Volunteering at a Vitalise Centre is all about helping our guests get the most out of their break. We won’t pretend there’s not some hard work involved but it’s a fun and rewarding experience. We guarantee you'll have a memorable time and meet new people.

We offer four main kinds of volunteering opportunity at our Centres.

In the swimming pool at Vitalise SkylarksResidential volunteers

Most of our volunteers are residential (meaning you live at the Centre for the whole time you are volunteering with us). Residential volunteers usually help for a week or two at a time. The weeks run from Saturday to Saturday.

Long term volunteers

Please note there are currently NO long term opportunities available at any Vitalise Centres. When more opportunities become available we will state this on the website.

Under 18s

Young people aged 16-18 are very welcome to volunteer with Vitalise, but spaces are limited so please contact us for advice before booking.

One day projects

One day projects are ideal for team volunteering and corporate challenges. Spending a day at a Centre on a specific project can be invaluable to guests and staff alike. Whether it's working on clearing the garden, odd jobs or decorating there is always a lot to do and you might be surprised what a difference just one day can make. Get in touch to discuss opportunities or see the Group and Team Volunteering page for more details.

Daily or occasional volunteers

Helping in your local Vitalise Centre, on a daily basis, whenever you can, can be a tremendous support, especially when helping on the day trips and excursions. You can also help in the gardens, shops, bars, offices, or with guest support, so there is plenty of variety.

If you live within easy reach of one of our Centres and sometimes have time to spare (maybe you’re retired, or work part-time) that you’d like to put to good use then get in touch with your local centre directly and they will be happy to discuss things with you. You can find Centre details in the Our Centres section.

Study placements

Vitalise is happy to support students on study placements. We have taken on candidates from various subject areas including Nursing, Health and Social Care, Medicine, Public Services, Social Work and Leisure and Tourism.

Contact your chosen Centre directly to find out how we can help candidates develop essential core skills. You can find Centre details in the Our Centres section.

If you have any other ideas or needs we are happy to hear from you
