With two nights in Pisa and three nights in Florence you’ll have plenty of time to get familiar with two of the most beautiful and cultured cities in the world.
Pisa is most well-known for the world famous Leaning Tower, but that’s just one of the many architectural marvels of this charming city. The best way to explore historic Pisa is on foot, as the city centre is compact you can pack some of the finest churches, gardens and monuments into a day’s stroll.
Florence was the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and one of the most important cities in Europe for nearly 250 years. Today, modern Florence offers a wonderful cultural experience in keeping with its illustrious past.
Florence is a walker’s dream. Take a stroll along the River Arno with its many ornate bridges and explore the medieval back streets in the Santa Croce and Oltrarno areas on the south side of the river. There is also superb shopping and Florence’s regional cuisine is a delight to the palate.
