Vitalise Churchtown offers free break to local carer

A carer on a Vitalise breakVitalise is asking people from the Southwest to nominate their carer for the chance to win one week’s free holiday with full board at its Vitalise Churchtown Centre in Lanlivery, near Bodmin.

Carers over the age of 18 can be nominated by the people they care for. All you need to do is fill in a nomination form, telling us why the carer you nominate deserves to win.

The winner and the person they care for will be invited to stay at Vitalise Churchtown for one week, from the 10 – 17 September 2008, and enjoy the various activities on offer.

If you know a carer who deserves a break, let us know – and you could be joining us for a fun-packed week this autumn.

Last year's winner

Last year Vitalise invited you to nominate young people, under the age of 18, for a holiday at Churchtown. The lucky winner was 16 year-old wheelchair user Mariam Ahmed who took her free break with her sister Sameena.

Mariam AhmedMariam and Sameena’s mother Mussarat said:
“I was really surprised when I heard the girls were doing all the activities, things they hadn’t experienced before, like canoeing, abseiling and going down the zipwire. When they got home I could tell they’d had a great time. Mariam and Sameena can’t talk much but I could tell from their faces that they were happy.

I was so impressed with Vitalise Churchtown, it gives children like Mariam and Sameena some extra freedom and experiences they can’t get anywhere else. I really appreciated the break too, it gave me a chance to relax for a little while, knowing the girls were in good hands. Thank you so much for giving my lovely girls the chance to visit.”
